In 2010 the Dutch labour market will increasingly feel the crisis. Expected unemployment of 8 percent presses heavily on our system of provisions. That is why the Cabinet continues unabatedly to invest in recovery so as to emerge stronger and more quickly from the crisis. Spending power is decreasing slightly on average, but taking 2009 and 2010 together it is still positive. In 2010 SZW will invest €416 million in crisis measures. The duration and amount of the benefits remain unaffected. In order to cope with setbacks in the budget, there will be savings of €430 million in other expenditure.
